Bridgeport Elementary School
Bridgeport ISD
This school was designed to be a tool for learning. Backed with a theme of “Texas Heritage”, the school contains interactive displays throughout the corridors which provide more opportunities for learning.
Classrooms are arranged in “Pods” by grade level and separated from the public spaces. Self-contained pods have shared educational commons, computer stations, teacher’s work rooms, storage and resource rooms. Each pod has direct egress to the outside which facilitates outside classroom learning.

The main assembly areas are the gym and dining areas, which are separated by a stage that opens both ways to maximize the usability.
Glazed brick with bright colors and accent patterns were used around the building to make the atmosphere fun and inviting.
