Registered Architect – Texas
LEED Green Associate
AIA, NCARB, TSA,
Principal/Owner

George joined Claycomb straight out of college in 2004 and was named a Principal and owner of the firm in 2016. He oversees projects by working side-by-side with districts from start to finish and beyond to help their vision become reality.

As a lifelong learner, George is passionate about developing environments that foster education through community and collaboration. His greatest satisfaction is seeing students who are excited about learning engage with educators in a space that both parties helped create.

George believes the solution for success in any situation is teamwork, tenacity, and a bit of creativity. A fortune cookie message taped to his monitor reads, “A solid challenge will bring forth your finest abilities.” He keeps this nearby as a reminder to find creative solutions and to keep moving forward.

This same motivation can be evidenced in George’s passion for running. His favorite place to run is on the trails in the mountains of Colorado. When he’s not facing his next challenge, he enjoys reading in a bookstore with a cup of coffee. But above all, his favorite hobby is spending time with his family.

George holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture, a Master of Architecture, and a Master of Business Administration, all from Texas Tech University.
