Scope of Services
Bay City Junior High transformed the former high school into a modern, 21st-century learning environment for grades 6–8. The 178,500 sq. ft. building addition and renovation project has a capacity to serve 1,200 students. The campus includes a new administration suite, single story 6th grade classroom wing, two-story 7th/8th classroom wing, science labs, computer labs, band & choir rehearsal halls, art classrooms, a media center with dedicated maker-space and lecture room, kitchen/cafeteria with secured outdoor dining area, competition gym with associated locker rooms, parking, and landscaping. The existing auditorium renovations preserves an important assembly space that allows the District to not only provide daily instruction, but also to engage with the community during special events. As part of the overall site development, existing practice fields and the baseball complex were relocated prior to construction, allowing for a seamless opening for students and staff.
